Simply scrappin' ...

Recently, I was away with my husband for a weekend in the woods.  While he was out doing "manly" things, I was left to entertain myself.  That was no problem since I can stamp or scrap anywhere!

The location was somewhat remote (and I wouldn't be getting any UPS deliveries of Stampin' Up! merchandise anytime soon!) so my supplies were limited to what little I had packed up from my home workshop, a perfect opportunity to scrap with one of Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scrappin' Kits.  These kits make it so easy to create coordinating pages with self-adhesive die-cuts, patterned paper and cardstock.  My scrapbook pages came together simply and beautifully.  And yours will, too!

Since I had twelve delightful photographs documenting one little girl's first year of life, I chose to scrap with Rock-A-Bye Girl.  I worked exclusively with the contents of the kit, adding only some white taffeta ribbon to a page or two.  Here are a few of my favorite 6x6 pages ...

Paper:  Cardstock - Bashful Blue, Confetti White, Kiwi Kiss; Designer Series Paper - Bashful Blue Patterns

Ink:  Classic - Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red Refill

Tools & Accessories:  Chocolate Chip 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Neutrals 5/16" Brads, Pretties Kit, Laughter & Love Rub-Ons, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sizzix Big Shot for Stampin' Up!, Lots of Tags Sizzlits Die

Instructions:

1. Curl edges of Bashful Blue Designer Series Paper and adhere to Kiwi Kiss card.
2. Apply Rub-Ons to Bashful Blue Cardstock and adhere to card.  Curl bottom edges slightly.  Tie Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon around front of card.
3. Cut out tag image from Confetti White Cardstock using Big Shot and Lots of Tags die.  Stamp greeting in Chocolate Chip Ink on tag.
4. Die flower using Riding Hood Red Ink Refill and let dry.  Attach flower to tag using Silver Brad and adhere to tag to card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Ink:  Classic -Old Olive, Ruby Red

Tools & Accessories:  Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Pewter Jumbo Eyelets, Stampin' Dimensionals, Crop-A-Dile, 1/4" Circle Punch

 

Instructions

1. Stamp silhouette image in Ruby Red Classic Ink on Whisper White Cardstock.  Adhere Whisper White Cardstock to Ruby Red Cardstock using Stampin' Dimensionals.  Place inside of box.
2. Attach two Pewter Jumbo Eyelets to box using Crop-A-Dile.
3. Stamp "You're on my mind" in Old Olive Classic Ink on Whisper White Cardstock.  Punch circles from Old Olive Cardstock using 1/4" Circle Punch and adhere to back of Whisper White Cardstock.  Adhere piece to box using Stampin' Dimensionals.
4. Thread Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon through Eyelets and tie box closed.

It's like a greeting card, but three dimensional.  What a special way to let someone know that you're thinking of them.
