Just last month at Stamped Sentiments we introduced the concept of the "Stampin' Up! Makeover", copying a store-bought card using only Stampin' Up! product on hand in our workshop to make it.
I really liked the simplicity of this card my husband just gave me for Sweetest Day ...
And since I needed a fresh batch of birthday cards, I decided to give it a Stampin' Up! makeover with a birthday theme ...

Paper: Cardstock - Cameo Coral, Very Vanilla, Rose Red
Ink: Classic - Rose Red
Tools & Accessories: Big Shot; Texturz Backgrounds 1; Very Vanilla 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon; Pretties Kit; SNAIL; Stampin' Dimensionals
Given the contemporary design of the stamp set I chose, I thought the small polka dot texturz plate was the most suitable (though I doubt you can see it in the photo!). And I substituted the vanilla ribbon for the rose ribbon because, quite frankly, I didn't have rose ribbon. Instead I incorporated a rose layer in the sentiment cardstock unit for added color.
