Do these cards look familiar? They should! They're from the February 2011 Monthly Card Kit that was offered here, only I used "So Cute" rather than "Baby Bundle" since it coordinates perfectly with the Nursery Suite Quick Accents (see page 176). And it coordinates with the Nursery Suite Specialty Designer Series Paper (see page 172) too, though it's not used for these cards.
Stamped Sentiments will be posting the April 2011 Monthly Card Kit very soon. And if time allows, another project using an alternative Sale-A-Bration reward. Stay tuned ...

This month's card kit features two more new items from the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog, the "Baby Bundle" Stamp Set and coordinating "Nursery Suite Quick Accents."
Pictured here are two card designs. With your kit, you'll get all the consumable supplies to create six of each of these two card designs for a total of twelve cards (with envelopes). Purchase the kit for $25 (plus $4.90 USPS Priority Mail postage, if applicable) and receive two additional full color "alternative" card designs you can make with the combined contents of your kit. In addition, you'll receive step-by-step instructions on how to complete each of the four card designs.

The last of the scrapbook pages from my weekend in the woods ...

Are you wondering why I didn't start this series with these pages since they come first in the scrapbook? Well, to be honest, I didn't really like one of the initial layouts so I posted the others while I tweaked it. One of the great beauties of Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scrappin' Kits is that the self-adhesive die-cuts are initially repositionable (for about an hour; the bond becomes permanent after 24 hours) so I was able to keep moving the pieces around until I was satisfied with the page. Now I'm truly happy with the end result.

When I learned our friends' new girl twins, born premature, had finally come home from the hospital, I knew I had to borrow the retired stamped set, "By Ones & By Twos," from my upline to make this card to send them ...

Ink: Classic - Basic Black; Versmark
Accessories: Pretty In Pink Taffeta Ribbon; Punches - Large Oval, Word Window; Stampin' Write Markers - So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie; Soft Subtles Brads; Wire Works Metallic (retired); Stampin' Dimensionals
The inside sentiment is "double the diapers, double the pins, double the onesies...HURRAY FOR TWINS!" Isn't it just darling?
My thanks to Nancy Riley for the card design; I found it on Splitcoast Stampers. I don't think it's visible in the photo, but the Whisper White Cardstock on the lower half is scored at every 1/4" to mimic wainscoting. And metallic wire was used to make the hangers. This was the most challenging part of the card for me since I'd never worked with wire before. Not bad for a first attempt!
