I have a confession to make ... I'm not much of a scrapbooker. But when we attended my sister-in-law's 50th birthday party last summer, I knew I wanted to create a keepsake scrapbook for her as a Christmas gift. So I took pictures at the party with plans to do just that.
The challenging part was simply getting started. But once I decided to use the "Scrapbook Album In A Day" scrap map from this class I had offered earlier in the year, it all came together quickly, despite the fact that I was not using a Simply Scrappin' Kit with self-adhesive die-cuts as was done for the class. I chose the Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper because I thought the pattern colors and style were a good fit for the project so all I had to do was create my own "die-cuts" with stamps and punches and some ribbon to make it work.
Here are pictures of a few pages ...
My "Scrapbook Album In A Day" class will be back soon by popular demand, once I can set the date, so be sure to check my "Upcoming Events" link in the right sidebar. No doubt I'll write about it here, too!
